Ms.Medicine practices are membership-based and charge an annual patient fee, instead of opting into insurance and Medicare plans. This practice structure allows you to have longer patient appointments, same or next business day appointments, telehealth, direct email and cell phone access to your provider, and improved healthcare navigation services. This approach was structured to add value to your health, well-being and quality of life.
And as a Ms.Medicine-affiliated practice, I join a network of other membership medicine primary care practices focused on providing evidence-based, comprehensive care for patients. For my women patients, this means I will complete advanced training in women’s health addressing often-complex health needs of women, including menopause, sexual health, bone health and more.
As a member of the Ms.Medicine network, I am connected to nationally known women’s health internists and other specialists, and I participate in ongoing training to help address my patients’ needs. Although Ms.Medicine was founded to help address women’s healthcare needs, I was attracted to the evidence-based, comprehensive care, membership model and apply these principles to all my patients (men, women, and children.) *Note that membership in Nick Davis, MD, and Associates or Ms.Medicine is not considered insurance as recognized by the Affordable Care Act. In fact, we highly recommend that patients carry health insurance for services not covered under your primary care membership, such as visits with specialists or hospitalization. Many patients pair their membership with higher deductible insurance plans to reduce their total annual out-of-pocket healthcare costs.
